French is notorious for not having enough words. The French overuse “faire” and “etre” like crazy nuts.

It’s because of the dumb tradition they have of never using words from other languages. A few years ago, they decided to replace the word “email” with “courrier electronique.”

Then it became “courriel.” But everyone there still says email.

For courriel, what would the verb be, please?

This is a pretty bad French translation. It’s like if they said in English ”Protection Device for Cords”. ”Protecteur de Cordons” would have been peachy.
